The EVAU (the old Selectividad) is the university entrance exam of the Spanish education system. It is a series of exams based on the subjects and contents learnt during the baccalaureate.
It is a very important moment for students, as the mark obtained in this exam, together with the marks obtained in the two years of the Baccalaureate, form the average mark that determines which degrees and universities each student can or cannot access.
Given the importance of this test, many of the students who are preparing to take the EVAU need support and reinforcement to achieve the grade they need to access the university degree they want.

Who are Academia Guiu’s university entrance exam courses aimed at?
The selectividad courses are aimed at those who have studied or are studying the Baccalaureate or a Higher Level Training Cycle and are planning to sit the EVAU university entrance exam.
Academia Guiu also offers EVAU courses for foreigners or the International Baccalaureate, specially adapted for them.
Also, and in both cases, we prepare people who, having completed the Baccalaureate or Higher Vocational Training, did not take the EVAU at the time and wish to do so now. As well as for students who, having taken the exam, did not get the grade they needed.
What does the Selectividad course consist of?
The annual preparation course for the Selectividad (EVAU) of Academia Guiu is the most complete and effective of all the courses offered in Barcelona. The aim of the course is to guarantee the student’s admission to the degree and university of their choice.
During the course, we carry out fully updated mock university entrance exams, so that the student can internalise them and have ample experience in taking these exams once they have to take the university entrance exam. Always under the guidance of the qualified teachers that Academia Guiu has, specialists in each of the subjects.
In addition, Academia Guiu’s offices facilitate all the necessary procedures for students to register for the EVAU exams; from homologation of qualifications, to pre-registration at the University.
Selectividad courses for foreign students or students with an international baccalaureate
For foreign students or students with a foreign baccalaureate, Academia Guiu bases its courses on mock exams of the UNED, which is the university in charge of conducting the EVAU tests for foreigners who intend to enter any Spanish university.
Academia Guiu is recognised as an official collaborating centre of the UNED, so it provides foreign students with direct contact with this University, as well as materials, advice and support throughout the process.
