Find out all the information on time

Before performing the Selectivity exam you must be very clear about which studies you are going to apply. In Selectivity you must choose subjects based on the degree that will weigh more in your subsequent university degree. It is important for you to be properly advised in order to choose a career suitable for you. And if you need help, don’t worry. We can also advise you.

We recommend you to get informed about the University Educational System to understand the processes you will get throught. Understanding how selectivity and weighting subjects work will make it easier for you to know the steps you have to follow later.

Official degrees in Spain have two levels: undergraduate or first cycle studies and postgraduate studies (Master or Doctorate) or second and third cycle respectively. Both work by credits; for example: 60 (1 year), 180 (3 years) and 240 (4 years). Depending on the duration and the course load, the credits will vary.

Choose a subject before Selectivity

We recommend you to choose your degree before getting your Selectivity mark. First of all, you should check all the educational offer available and their access conditions. To know the requirements of the different courses, you should review the ways to access, the curricula, the duration, the qualification you will get, the level of difficulty, the profile of people who carry out these studies, the possibilities of getting scholarship, the professional prospects… We also recommend that you get to know the professions closely, visiting several companies or looking for statistical data and generic information about each profession.

With all this information, we recommend that you make a list of the degrees that you like the most. Do not choose just one, it is better to have several options to adapt your priorities to the grade obtained at the Selectivity.

Choosing the college

Once you have chosen your academic orientation and after knowing the Selectivity mark, you must choose where to study. Here are some criteria that will help you: location, type of evaluation, services of the college, prestige and recognition of the center and its teaching staff, internship program, exchange program abroad … check all of these points before the deadlines to enroll your preferred university.
